I Pretty Much Suck At Fishing

Here I am with a nice big 5lb. bass I caught last summer at Davis Lake. I caught it using a fly rod and a popper from an inflatable kayak. Davis lake is a beautiful lake. The scenery is awesome. I love the waterfowl. Listening to the birds sing makes the whole experience.

This blog has been put together to develop a community of fishermen who may not be the best fishermen, but still enjoy the experience of getting outdoors and having a good time either by themselves or in the company of friends and family. Take it from me, you don't have to always catch fish to have a memorable time. We always have the best intentions of catching fish, but don't always do the best. We rarely get skunked anymore, so I can't say we are really that bad. Many of my fondest memories of being with my sons have been fishing and camping with them. I would not have traded these times for anything. We just love getting out and seeing the countryside together and smelling the roses along the way. Nothing like a roadtrip, listening to good music and munching some good snacks! If we catch a fish (or lots of fish), it's a bonus! I am sure you can relate. Feel free to submit your pictures and thoughts, stories etc! What do you think of me on the pot in Glacier National Park?
